MY
APPROACH
Dogs reflect our strengths and weaknesses to help balance out our lives. In order to teach our four legged companions balance we ourselves must take the time to find our own balance.
By learning your dog's body language, you begin to understand their motivations and identify their challenges. K9 Guru is here to give you the tools you need to build a strong, healthy, and happy relationship with your pup.

FAQs
How much progress can we expect in one session?
Your pup’s progress depends on a few variables:
-
What unwanted behavior(s) need addressing
-
How long the dog has practiced said behavior(s)
-
Your desired learning pace
-
How consistent the pet parent(s) are
You would be surprised how much you can achieve in 1 session regardless of where your pup is at in their behavior modification journey.
Do I need private or group training?
It is recommended to start where you're facing the most challenges, however, most of your time together is spent in the home. In order to set the proper foundation of respect and trust within the home, the majority of my pet parents decide to start with an In-Home lesson. Once the dog has achieved this balance, now they are ready for private training in high stimulus environments such as a Public Manners sessions or our group classes. Most pet parents do a combination of all three for deep transformations.
If your pup struggles in a high stimulus environment, pulls on the leash, shows signs of aggression in public, is reactive to cars, bikes, etc., doesn’t always listen, gets overly-excited outside, or gets anxious around loud noises— a one-on-one Public Manners Session is for you.
If your pup struggles with potty training, leash-up routines, possessive behaviors, separation anxiety, reactive/aggressive with guests/strangers around doorways, or is reactive/possessive around food or other resources— an In-Home Session will benefit you most.
If your dog does not struggle with aggression & just needs a bit of socialization and general obedience training— our Group Classes are a great opportunity for you to build your confidence as a handler and are a little easier on the pocket book also.
